Practice Experience
Shirley is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa who specializes in various aspects of construction and engineering law, their contracts (more specifically FIDIC and the JBCC) as well as bespoke contracts and has a good understanding of the construction market in South Africa.Shirley began her legal career working in general practice, first dealing predominantly with private person matters as well as criminal cases, and then dealing with insurance companies for personal injury claims and car accident claims.
Shirley has extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation in the High Court of South Africa as well as all in alternative dispute resolution procedures and has worked on several high profile cases, including multibillion Rand projects at the Medupi and Kusile Power Station.
